How to Read the Results
Left after the ad is the cash an order contributes once the product, postage, payment processing and the ad spend it took to win the customer are paid. It's what funds the next customer, the overhead and eventually a profit.
Break-even ad cost is what the order leaves before any advertising, which makes it the most you could spend to win that order and make nothing on it. Break-even ROAS is the same threshold as a return on ad spend, the figure most ad platforms report: revenue divided by what the order leaves before ads. Below it, every order costs you money.
The single bottle usually looks worst because the ad costs the same whichever tier a customer picks, while the second and third bottles only have to cover their own product cost. That's why most supplement brands build their ads around a multi-bottle offer.
What It Leaves Out
Refunds, chargebacks and overhead all come out after the fact, so treat each result as the most an order can contribute. Supplement brands are often placed on high-risk merchant accounts, with a higher processing rate and part of each sale held in reserve. If you expect one, change the processing rate under Postage, shipping and processing.
