Fulfillment & Storage
Choose a warehouse that keeps a supplement inside the conditions on its label, and put the handling rules in writing.
A third-party warehouse built around apparel or homewares stores cartons and ships boxes, and for most of what it holds, that's the whole job. A supplement needs more, because the federal cGMP rules your manufacturer works under cover holding as well as manufacturing, packaging and labeling, and they keep applying while your product sits on a warehouse shelf.
This module helps you pick a 3PL that keeps your product within the storage conditions its expiry date depends on, puts the handling rules into the quote and the agreement, and runs the two checks that show whether a warehouse does what it says.
What this module covers
- 1Get the Storage Condition From Your Manufacturer
- 2Shortlist Warehouses That Already Hold Food
- 3Send Every Warehouse the Same Request
- 4Ask for Last Summer's Logs
- 5Run a Mock Recall Before Launch
- 6Put the Handling Rules in the Agreement
- 7Set a Summer Shipping Rule
